I fell in love with writing the same way I fell in love with photography. Obsessively. Both are my favorite forms of storytelling. Whether I'm putting words on the page or composing through my lens - I'm doing work I'm passionate about.

Grateful for and proud of small-town life, I am a former newspaper columnist, avid hiker, nature lover, and animal advocate.

My stories and essays have been featured in a variety of publications, (including Country Woman Magazine, Green Prints and Woman's World) newspapers and in 18 Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Currently, I'm working on a memoir, a middle-grade novel and a collection of humor essays.
